How it works

To answer this question, first, compose your dish from our extensive list of ingredients and methods of preparation. You can also search for a ready dish and modify it.

Make a list of the wines you wish to see scored and send this to the Winedata API with your dish.

Your dish and list of wines to be scored are being matched by a system built on gastronomic top-expertise. This enables Winedata to swiftly present you with all wines scores with your dish. There’s extensive information available on every wine. If you don’t supply a list of wines, scores will be given by wine type.

For each dish scores will be given for the wines supplied. Scores are in points on a scale from 60 to 100. The higher the score, the better the match with the dish.

Missing ingredients can be reported through the API. These will be added to the database as soon as possible, after evaluation on taste aspects.

Matching scores for dishes and wines and wine content can be applied in wine apps for consumers, your web site or software application.

You can e.g. build an App for restaurants that will pick the right wine for each of their dishes or to have a guest pick a wine based on his taste preferences.

Or an application for supermarkets, wine stores and web shops that makes wine sales significantly increase.
